RAISING MONEY AND AWARENESS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN'S CHARITIES

The Big Gig weekend was created to raise money for local children’s charities. Under the umbrella charity, ‘Helping Jersey Charities’ we distribute funds to our chosen charities each year. For 2018 we’re pleased to announce that we will continue to raise money for Help a Jersey Child and this year will be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust, Jersey Appeal.

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST, JERSEY APPEAL

"We are absolutely delighted to be the chosen Charity for the Big Gig 2018. We are extremely grateful as we rely entirely on our supporters to enable us to reach young people with cancer and their families. Teenage Cancer Trust need to not only be able to fund the ongoing costs of the Southampton Unit, where young people from Jersey could be treated, but also to extend our Education Programme and ensure young people are aware of the signs and symptoms of cancer. We are also looking to fund a Specialist Nurse on the island, to provide additional support in Jersey"

HELP A JERSEY CHILD

Help A Jersey Child will actively seek to assist disadvantaged local children or young people who may not be eligible for support from existing charities or local government support groups. It will also look to help suitable Jersey Charities who need additional funding.
